The last thing you need is a product recall because of an error in the processor as a manufacturer of processors, but this is what face Intel following a decision by the notebook computer maker Toshiba to recall some of their laptops.

The problem seems to be with the latest Intel Core Sandy Bridge processor where an error was found in six series, Cougar point chips.
These are the current notebooks are affected by Sandy Bridge issue. Satellite A660/A665, L655 and M645 series models, satellite E305-S1990, Toshiba Portege, Qosmio notebooks R835 X 505 series systems and Qosmio X 500-Q930 model.
So far, it seems that Toshiba is the only manufacturer to take this measure. Although the chip used on some laptops from HP, Dell, Acer, Lenovo and Asus.
