We have long been fans of MSI X-Slim Series notebook, but their low-voltage processors often leave much to be desired in the Division of performance. Our favorite X-Slim notebook all is last year's X 350, which featured the Raven Black Cabinet, a magnificent textured deck and 8-inch thin frame, which sometimes have been overshadowed by its mediocre 1.3 Ghz Core 2 Duo processor. After the release of the X 360, i5 ULV Core version of the same design in Taiwan only MSI decided to ditch Intel low voltage chips and release X 370 with AMD's new Fusion E-350 processor and associated AMD Radeon 6320 graphics.
We had a chance to ogle X 370 on stand MSI today at CES, and we fell in love all over again with design there is absolutely no change with 0.8 inch thin, 3.8-pound chassis, we loved last year but with the new AMD Fusion, we expect the battery at least as good as we've seen on X 350 and performance that is much more than 7 hours. Other features include 13.4 inches screen 1366 x 768, 320-500 GB drive that contains your OS, programs and data.
Learn Morehard drive and up to 4 GB of RAM.
We didn't get to benchmark the system yet, but we hope that in the near future test X 370 and see how it stacks up. This may be, the MSI X-Slim, we've been waiting for.
MSI expects to ship X 370 sometime this spring. There's no final word on pricing, but MSI rep said it should cost at least $ 100 less than X 350 at launch. Check out hands-on video below for a closer look at the MSI X 370.
