With Superbowl XLV right around the corner the social app TV iPad Vualla rolled out this week with Special content that will help users to enjoy the big game. Free application that aims to become a social centre viewing experience by providing News, details and social media channels for each program, you watch TV. But beyond the standard fare, it offers for all other shows on television, the company added a bevy of special focus on Super Bowl Sunday in honor of the event.
Immediately after installation, you are prompted to select your location and cable provider. You are then presented with the Guide Home screen (shown above) that shows a list of thumbnail images for programs currently airing, trends, most viewed (user Vualla) programmes, sports and movies. Also, you can add favorite channels, so you can always see what is playing.
When you click on the icon for the installed program, you're presented with Info screen that allows you to see a brief description of the show, a short list of the cast and crew, a news channel from the Web feed Twitter tweets about the show, list of FaceBook fan pages and fan chat where you can chat with other users of the Vualla on the show.
Unfortunately information for each show is pretty rare and does not provide anything that you couldn't get one for yourself on the Internet. We looked at the cast and crew for glee, for example and just saw the list of actors and producers, without even showing their role. If you want this information, you can clearly make much better looking at shows in the IMDB page, going to the website of TV as BuddyTV or official site online where you'll find much more information or even an episode guide. Twitter News and Facebook tabs are useful, but nothing you can't get just by searching the Internet. And each show chat, we visited was empty.
To be fair, Vualla-new application and the company told us that it planned to build the content for each of her show, so that each provides a more compelling experience. The application will also offer special sections for major events, the first of which is the Super Bowl.
At the top of the screen is a giant banner Super Bowl XLV will take you to a Super Bowl application partition. On the home page section of the Super Bowl, you are presented with a clock that indicates the amount of time before the game and and Center buttons important information about the game and left and right column with tabs for more content. Tabs at the top left are:
We noticed a few small issues, see Super Bowl Vualla app.config As he told us that the big game is going to start at 3 a.m., when we were using the app on Saturday, 5 February highly inaccurate Super Bowl countdown clock, which is located at the top of the screen. When starting the game, he suddenly starts counting down again with 2 hours on the clock.
The word Super Bowl also is written differently in different parts of the application. The correct spelling using the NFL is "Super Bowl" (two words), but a lot of buttons in the application was written as "Superbowl" (one word).
Vualla app not much in the way of original content as usual empty chat on all exhibitions, as well as ' fun stuff ' "tab in the Super Bowl was the only thing we saw that have not been clearly linked to or embed Web resources, you can get on your own. But the app does a solid job overall resources in an attractive package and worth a look for iPad users.
To date, shows different content around the Super Bowl is really sparse and worse that you find on a site like BuddyTV. However, Vualla has assured us that they are working to build a personal show areas and special areas surrounding major events like the Super Bowl and other sporting activities. So stayed tuned.
