Tweet By: Laarni Almendrala Ragaza01.06.2011 Comments Viewsonic is dubbing its VPC191 and VPC221 all-in-one PCs as the perfect solution for saving space, energy, and resources.
Viewsonic is touting smarter, greener computing with the launch of its VPC191 and VPC221 all-in-one PCs. Both models have a low-power LED panel, which the company says gives users a 60 percent energy cost savings over a traditional desktop PC.
Features on both models include a DVD burner, 4-in-1 media card reader (XD/SD/MMC/MS), and a 1.3-megapixel Webcam. Wireless connectivity comes by way of 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. Viewsonic bundles in a USB keyboard and mouse that can be plugged into any of the six USB 2.0 ports on the two desktops.
The VPC191 measures 13.1 by 18.4 by 1.9 inches (HWD). Its 18.5-inch LED screen has a resolution of 1,366-by-768, and can be adjusted for height, tilt, and swivel, and pivot to landscape mode. The VPC191 has a 1.66-GHz Intel Atom D525 dual-core CPU, 2GB of DDR3 memory, and a 250-GB hard drive.
The VPC221 measures 13.1 by 18.4 by 1.9 inches (HWD) and weighs about 26 pounds. It's 21.5-inch LED screen have a 1,920-by-1,080 resolution. The screen can be adjusted for height, tilt, and swivel, and can be pivoted to landscape. In addition to the 1.66-GHz Core i3 CPU, it also sports an Nvidia GT330M Series graphics chipset, 4GB of DDR3 memory, and a 500GB hard drive.
The VPC191 will retail for $629 (list), while the VPC221 will sell for $1,049. Both will be available in the first quarter of this year.
